Training at Siemens Power Generation Charlotte, NC
Siemens purchased a new Cammann Inc. C-25 Metal Disintegrator with a #5 Morse Taper Attachment. This sped up the removal of broken taps and drill bits. When a tool is broken the broken tool is removed the MDM power head is slipped into the machine tool and the MDM is automatically aligned to the center of the broken tool. During training the guys found other
uses for the MDM such as disintegrating a squire hole in the weights and removing them with
an
impact gun, saving hours of drill.
